R & D Engineer - PVC/Polymer. Role Type: Permanent. Role Location: Louth/Monaghan. Sector: Manufacturing. Role Scope: Define and develop products that meet the specifications and standards requiring a development, knowledge in the field of polymers and theirr transformation. Propose innovative solutions product design in line with market demands. Participate in all aspects of commercial projects. Reports to site GM and R & D Engineering Manager in France. Duties: Participation in a limited number of projects for research and commercialisation. Manage 2 or 3 projects simultaneously. Develop new products from specifications provided by the Marketing and / or Research & Development. Definition of the composition and design at lab scale. Definition and / or optimizing processes suitable for the product. Finalizing the specifications for industrialization. Participation for industrial trials. Responsible for QCD Indicators (Quality, Cost and Delay. Participation in projects as defined in clients procedures for the topics selected by the Projects Committee. Working in a multidisciplinary and international team. Mechanical and chemical characterization of product. Competition Analysis. Education/Experience/Knowledge. Degree Engineer or higher, with knowledge of Polymers. Specific knowledge: Physical properties of polymers / polymer manufacturing processes. Fluent English essential, ideally speaks French also.
